Automeris metzli cocoons, F0 from Ecuador. This is an incredible moth and much larger than other Automeris species.
Host plants: (In winter) Raspberry/Blackberry (Rubus) leaves; (in summer) Oak, Willow, Sweetgum.
Pairings are brief but not difficult. Larvae also no more difficult than Automeris io for rearing.
